Formul8 provides 13 specialized AI agents, each with deep expertise in a specific area of the cannabis industry. This document is the complete reference for every agent — what it knows, what to ask it, and which subscription tier includes it.


How Agent Routing Works

When you send a message in F8Chat, the platform analyzes your question and automatically routes it to the most appropriate agent based on keywords and intent. You do not need to select an agent manually.

The agent that handled your message is identified in the response. If you want a different agent's perspective, rephrase your question with keywords from that agent's domain (see the keyword lists below).


Tier 1: Core Agents

Available on all paid tiers (Pro, Operator, Team). Free tier includes Formul8 General and Formulation (science queries are also handled by the Formulation agent).

Formul8 General (f8_agent)

Available on: Free, Pro, Operator, Team

The general-purpose agent and default router. Handles broad questions about the cannabis industry, business strategy, and multi-topic queries. When a question does not clearly match a specialist agent, Formul8 General handles it.

What it knows:

  • Cannabis industry overview and business strategy
  • Cross-domain questions spanning multiple agent specialties
  • Agent routing and coordination for complex queries
  • General business planning and operational guidance

Available on: Operator, Team

The regulatory compliance specialist. Backed by a RAG knowledge base of state-specific cannabis regulations, this agent provides detailed guidance on licensing, packaging, labeling, testing requirements, transport manifests, and more.

What it knows:

  • State-specific cannabis regulations across all 50 U.S. states
  • Licensing applications and renewal processes
  • Packaging and labeling requirements
  • THC/potency limits by state and product type
  • Testing requirements and standards
  • Transport and manifest regulations
  • Compliance audit preparation
  • Regulatory agency guidance (MED, DCC, OCC, OMMA, CCC, DEA)

Formulation Agent (formulation)

Available on: Free, Pro, Operator, Team

The product formulation and recipe development specialist. Backed by scientific research data including PubMed papers on cannabinoids, terpenes, and pharmaceutical formulation science.

What it knows:

  • Recipe development for edibles, tinctures, topicals, beverages, and concentrates
  • THC/CBD dosage calculations
  • Ingredient selection and compatibility
  • Cannabinoid and terpene profiles
  • Bioavailability optimization (nanoemulsion, liposomal delivery)
  • Product stability and shelf-life planning
  • Onset time and duration by delivery method

The facility operations and production specialist. Covers everything from cultivation to extraction, equipment maintenance, SOPs, and post-processing workflows.

What it knows:

The cannabis marketing and brand strategy specialist. Provides guidance on marketing strategy, campaign development, and customer acquisition within the constraints of cannabis advertising regulations.

The spectral analysis and quality testing specialist. Provides guidance on analytical testing protocols, lab equipment operation, and data interpretation for cannabis quality assurance.
